Consecutive doubles by Alan Trammell and Steve Kemp leading off the fifth inning broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Tigers a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. Aurelio Lopez came out of the Tigers' bullpen with the bases loaded and none out in the Texas sixth and retired the side on just three pitches. Pinch-hitter Mike Jorgensen lined the first pitch into a double play and Jim Sundberg flied out to end the inning. [The Sporting News]
