Making an auspicious major league debut, Craig Chamberlain pitched the Royals to a 7-1 victory over the Tigers, extending the Royals' winning streak to five games. Al Cowens belted a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Amos Otis and Roy White clouted solo shots in the sixth.
