. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The White Sox won the first game of a doubleheader, 7-0, behind the two-hit pitching of Ross Baumgarten, but then lost the second game to the Blue Jays, 7-5. Jim Morrison homered in the first inning of the opener and a double by Chet Lemon added another marker later in the same frame. A walk to Lamar Johnson, double by Lemon, single by Junior Moore and an infield out gave the White Sox two more runs in the third.

The Jays picked up three runs in the opening frame of the second contest, two tallies coming across on an error by third baseman Kevin Bell. John Mayberry, Al Woods and Bob Davis drove in the decisive runs in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
