Butch Edge, getting relief help from Tom Buskey, got credit for a victory in his major league debut as the Blue Jays prevailed over the A's, 4-2. The Jays scored in the fourth inning on a bases-loaded grounder by Tim Johnson and added two more runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Johnson and squeeze bunt by Rick Cerone.
