. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Butch Edge, getting relief help from Tom Buskey, got credit for a victory in his major league debut as the Blue Jays prevailed over the A's, 4-2. The Jays scored in the fourth inning on a bases-loaded grounder by Tim Johnson and added two more runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Johnson and squeeze bunt by Rick Cerone. The final Jay tally came in the eighth on a triple by Tony Solaita and single by Joe Cannon. [The Sporting News]
