Eddie Murray stole home with two out in the 12th inning to give the Orioles a 2-1 triumph over the White Sox. Murray singled to lead off and was sacrificed to second by Lee May. After Doug DeCinces was intentionally walked, Murray advanced to third on a fly ball by Roenicke.

DeCinces broke from first with a 1-2 count on pinch-hitter Benny Ayala and, when pitcher Guy Hoffman stepped off the rubber, Murray raced home with the winning run. [The Sporting News]
