. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Rookies Dan Petry and Pat Underwood combined on a two-hitter as the Tigers breezed to a 6-1 victory over the Angels. The Tigers picked up three runs in the fourth inning. Singles by Alan Trammell, Ron LeFlore and Champ Summers produced one marker and a two-run homer by Jason Thompson capped the scoring. Summers hit a solo homer in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
