A two-run homer by Carl Yastrzemski broke a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning and lifted the Red Sox to a 9-5 victory over the Twins. Jim Rice, who belted a three-run homer in the fifth, led off the eighth with a single and Yaz followed with his round-tripper.
