A homer by Bill Buckner lifted the Cubs to a 6-5 victory over the Giants. Buckner's blast came in the seventh inning and snapped a 5-5 tie. The Giants were kept in the contest by a pair of two-run homers by Mike Ivie. [The Sporting News]
