Snapping their five-game losing streak, the A's prevailed over the Blue Jays, 3-1. A single by Dave Revering and double by Tony Armas put the A's ahead in the fourth inning and they scored twice more in the fifth on consecutive singles by Rob Picciolo, Rickey Henderson, Dwayne Murphy and Wayne Gross and an infield out by Revering.
