Rodney Scott was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth inning, forcing in the run that gave the Expos a 1-0 victory over the Braves. Eddie Solomon, who was the loser in a duel with David Palmer, gave up a single by Larry Parrish to open the ninth.

After Chris Speler was retired, Tommy Hutton batted for Palmer and singled, sending Parrish to third. Solomon then walked Warren Cromartie intentionally before hitting Scott in the back with a pitch. [The Sporting News]
