A triple by Garry Maddox keyed a two-run rally in the ninth inning that carried the Phillies to a 3-2 triumph over the Astros and a sweep of the three-game series. Trailing, 2-1, the Phillies tied the game on a single by Bob Boone and triple by Maddox that scored pinch-runner Bud Harrelson. Maddox then scored on a single by Larry Bowa to give the victory to Steve Carlton, who pitched a two-hitter. [The Sporting News]
