Enjoying the generosity of four walks and four Chicago errors, the Brewers wrung out the White Sox, 5-3. The first Brewer run came across in the second inning on a single by Dick Davis, scoring Gorman Thomas who had walked.

In the third frame, a walk to Yount, an errant pickoff attempt, sacrifice bunt and single by Cecil Cooper produced another tally. The Brewers got three more in the sixth on a walk to Ben Oglivie, RBI doubles by Sal Bando and Davis and an error by Sox shortstop Harry Chappas. [The Sporting News]
