Two homers by Larry Parrish and one by Tony Perez powered the Expos to a 5-2 triumph over the Reds. An RBI single by Perez and sacrifice fly by Gary Carter gave the Expos a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

Parrish connected for a solo round-tripper in the second and Perez added a bases-empty shot in the third. Parrish finished the Montreal scoring with a solo shot in the fourth frame. Johnny Bench tied Frank Robinson for the all-time Reds' homer lead with 324. [The Sporting News]
