The Brewers swept a doubleheader from the White Sox, 3-2 and 9-5. The Brewers scored two runs in the second inning of the lidlifter on a walk, single by Dick Davis, infield out by Jim Gantner and single by Buck Martinez. They added another in the sixth when a single by Martinez drove in Sixto Lezcano, who had walked.

In the nightcap, a two-run homer by Lezcano in the fourth inning broke a 2-2 tie and doubles by Ben Oglivie and Lezcano in the sixth stanza boosted the Brewer lead to 5-2. Paul Molitor, who drove in three runs, hit a sacrifice fly in the third and singled in each of his next three at-bats. [The Sporting News]
