. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Indians went on the warpath against the Angels, pounding out 15 hits in a 12-7 scalping. The Indians tallied five times in the fifth inning, helped by an error by Angel second baseman Bobby Grich. Rick Manning delivered one run with a single, a sacrifice fly by Bobby Bonds plated another and Cliff Johnson climaxed the uprising with a three-run homer.

The Indians posted three more markers in the seventh on walks to Bonds and Toby Harrah, single by Johnson, a wild pitch, sacrifice fly by Andre Thornton and single by Ron Hassey. [The Sporting News]
