The Orioles built a 5-1 early lead and then hung on to edge the Rangers, 6-5. Kiko Garcia belted a three-run homer in the second inning for his first RBIs in 16 games. The Orioles pushed across the eventual winning run in the sixth on a double by Rich Dauer and single by Dave Skaggs. The Rangers had a two-run homer by Buddy Bell and solo shots by Mickey Rivers and Richie Zisk. [The Sporting News]
