A three-run homer by Bobby Bonds paced the Indians to a 5-3 victory over the A's. After spotting the A's a one-run lead on a double by Jeff Newman in the second inning, the Indians came back with four in their half.

A double by Duane Kuiper and passes to Dave Rosello and Mike Hargrove loaded the bases. Rick Manning hit a sacrifice fly for one run and Bonds followed with his homer. Toby Harrah ended the Indians' scoring with a circuit clout in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
