A two-run triple by Dan Driessen keyed a three-run ninth inning that carried the Reds to a 4-2 victory over the Phillies. With one out in the ninth and the Reds behind, 2-1, Dave Concepcion singled and went to second on a wild pitch. One out later, George Foster walked. After Phil starter Larry Christenson was derricked in favor of Ron Reed, Driessen tripled and continued home on a throwing error by Phil second baseman Manny Trillo. [The Sporting News]
