Overcoming a seven-run inning by Milwaukee, the Royals scored their fifth straight victory, 10-9, over the Brewers in 10 innings. After tying the contest in the bottom of the ninth on RBI singles by Darrell Porter and Frank White, the Royals won it in the 10th when Hal McRae singled with one out and went to third on a single by Amos Otis, the fifth hit by the Royal center fielder. After George Brett was walked intentionally, McRae trotted home with the winning run on a single by Porter. [The Sporting News]
