. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Indians scalped the Mariners twice, 5-4 and 2-1. The Tribe staged a Garrison finish in the curtain raiser, getting five runs in the ninth inning. A two-run homer by Andre Thornton triggered the winning rally, a two-out, two-run double by Mike Hargrove tied the score and a single by Rick Manning drove home the winning tally.

The Indians won the nightcap on a two-run homer by Toby Harrah and the combined six-hit pitching of Rick Waits and Victor Cruz. Harrah's clout came after a two-out walk to Manning in the third inning. [The Sporting News]
