Blasting Nolan Ryan, the Indians powered their way to a 7-1 pounding of the Angels, who suffered their fifth straight defeat. The Indians jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a bases-loaded double by Ron Hassey and sent Ryan to the showers in the fifth when they added two runs on a single by Duane Kuiper.
