Claudell Washington and Jim Morrison each drove in two runs to enable the White Sox to defeat the Brewers, 4-3, in a game called with two out in the bottom half of the fifth inning after rain put the field in an unplayable condition. Washington homered after a single by Lemon in the second inning.

The Brewers went ahead with three runs in the fourth, but the White Sox came back with a pair in their half. Washington singled and stole second.
