Willie Horton hit a homer in the ninth inning to spark a two-run rally and then knocked in another run with a double in the 10th to give the Mariners a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays. After Horton's homer, Dan Meyer singled with one out. Tom Buskey replaced Phil Huffman on the mound for the Blue Jays and allowed the tying run on a double by Tom Paciorek and infield out by Joe Simpson.

In the 10th, Julio Cruz singled and took second on a grounder by Ruppert Jones. After a pass to Bruce Bochte, Horton cracked his tie-breaking double. [The Sporting News]
