Overcoming an early 7-2 deficit, the White Sox rallied to down the Angels, 10-7. The White Sox tied the score with a five-run explosion in the sixth inning, the key blows being a two-run double by Claudell Washington and two-run single by Jim Morrison. Then in the eighth, Milt May stroked a one-out single and was replaced by Alan Bannister as pinch-runner. Bannister moved to second when Thad Bosley walked and, with two out, scored on a single by Greg Pryor. Chet Lemon added insurance with a two-run homer in the ninth. [The Sporting News] |
