Driving in four runs with a homer and single, Bobby Bonds paced the Indians to a 5-3 victory over the Tigers. The Tribe struck in the first inning when the first two batters walked on eight pitches and Bonds drove an 0-1 pitch over the left field fence. A triple by Tom Veryzer, double by Mike Hargrove and single by Bonds gave the Indians two more runs in the second. [The Sporting News]
