A ninth-inning double by Willie Stargell drove in Dave Parker with the winning run as the Pirates shaded the Mets, 6-5. Parker drilled a one-out triple and Stargell followed with a liner off the right field wall. After the Bucs had gone ahead, 5-4, with three runs in the top of eighth, the Mets tied the contest in the bottom of frame on an RBI single by pinch-hitter Ron Hodges.
