. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Geoff Zahn, getting relief help from Mike Marshall, who notched his 30th save, gained his ninth victory in 10 road decisions as the Twins defeated the Royals, 3-1. The Twins took the lead in the second inning on a walk to Ron Jackson and back-to-back singles by Butch Wynegar and Rick Sofield. A sacrifice fly by John Castino in the fourth made it 2-0 and the Twins' final tally came on a homer by Danny Goodwin in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
