A triple by Rick Cerone drove in two runs in the sixth inning and brought the Blue Jays a 4-3 victory over the Indians. Alfredo Griffin singled and Bob Bailor and Tony Soliata doubled to produce the Blue Jays' initial pair in the first.

After the Indians went ahead, 3-2, John Mayberry walked in the sixth. Joe Cannon singled Mayberry to third and then stole second before both runners scored on Cerone's triple. [The Sporting News]
