A barrage of homers lifted the Dodgers to a 9-4 victory over the Braves. Joe Ferguson hit bases-empty circuit clouts in the second and eighth innings, Steve Garvey led off the fifth with a round-tripper and Dusty Baker blasted a two-run shot in the seventh.

After Ferguson's second-inning swat, the Dodgers scored four unearned runs after errors by Bob Horner and Jerry Royster with the key hits being a two-run double by Bill Russell and run-scoring single by Garvey. [The Sporting News]
