After flirting with a no-hitter, Ken Kravec settled for a three-hitter as the White Sox posted a 1-0 victory over the Twins in 10 innings. Kravec held the Twins hitless until a leadoff double by Ron Jackson in the eighth.

The White Sox scored after Ken Bell led off the 10th with a single. Pinch-runner Alan Bannister advanced to third on a single by Mike Squires and raced home on a single by Thad Bosley. [The Sporting News]
