Ken Landreaux smashed a two-run homer in the ninth inning to tie the score and Butch Wynegar followed with a solo shot to bring the Twins a 3-2 victory over the Brewers. Gorman Thomas hit his 43rd homer of the season for the Brewers, who went into the ninth with a 2-0 lead before Roy Smalley drew a pass and Landreaux and Wynegar followed with their round-trippers to beat Moose Haas.

Jerry Koosman gained his 19th victory, but after the veteran lefthander yielded a single by Ben Oglivie in the ninth, Mike Marshall took over to gain his 31st save. [The Sporting News]
