Buddy Bell batted in two runs with a double to give the Rangers a 3-1 victory over the Angels in a game held up for 63 minutes in the fourth inning when the outfield lights went off because of a power failure. In the seventh, with the score tied, 1-1, Nelson Norman singled for the Rangers and Mickey Rivers walked. After a sacrifice by Bump Wills and intentional pass to Al Oliver, Bell stroked his double.
