After the Indians took the first game of a doubleheader, 4-3, the Orioles gained their 100th victory of the season by winning the second game, 3-1. The curtain-raiser was tied, 3-3, when Wayne Cage led off the Indians' eighth inning with a double and scored the deciding run on a double by Dave Rosello.

Mike Flanagan pitched a two-hitter for the Orioles in the second game and racked up his 23rd victory. [The Sporting News]
