. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A seven-run uprising in the seventh inning, climaxed by the first career grand-slam homer by Bruce Bochte, lifted the Mariners to an 8-1 triumph over the Brewers. The outburst began when Willie Horton doubled and came around on an error by Brewer second baseman Paul Molitor on a grounder by Dan Meyer.

After a double by Rodney Craig and walk to Larry Milbourne loaded the bases, Meyer scored on a safe squeeze bunt by Larry Cox. A sacrifice fly by Julio Cruz delievered another tally and after Ruppert Jones walked to again fill the bases, Bochte followed with his big blast. [The Sporting News]
