Two unearned runs enabled the Giants to defeat the Dodgers, 5-3. After Bill North singled in the first inning, Mike Ivie smashed a homer. The Giants added a tainted tally in the third, picked up a run on a sacrifice fly by Joe Strain in the fourth and scored another unearned run in the fifth.
