After the first of two homers by John Mayberry had given the Jays a 2-0 lead in the top of the inning, the Mariners' Rodney Craig doubled and scored on a single by Dan Meyer. After Bruce Bochte singled, Willie Horton was safe and Meyer came home on an error by third baseman Roy Howell. Ted Cox then capped the rally with a two-run double.
