Rusty Staub smashed his first homer in a Texas uniform, plus a double and single, as the Rangers piled up 16 hits to defeat the Yankees, 11-7. The Yankees built up a 6-1 lead with the aid of a two-run homer by Bob Watson and three-run drive by Oscar Gamble before the Rangers rallied for six runs in their half of the fifth.
