After being held scoreless for 21 innings, the Braves finally ended their drouth, but they still lost to the Reds, 5-4. The Braves took a 4-3 lead in the seventh with their first scoring outburst of the season, but in the ninth Dave Collins walked and Dave Concepcion smashed a homer off Al Hrabosky to win the game for the Reds.
