Barry Foote homered with two men on base and Dave Kingman added his third circuit clout in two days to power the Cubs to a 6-3 victory over the Mets. Neil Allen, who relieved Tom Hausman on the mound for the Mets with two men on base in the seventh inning, was the victim of Foote's homer on his first pitch to the Cubs' catcher.
