. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A pair of throwing errors that followed a sacrifice bunt enabled the Indians to score two unearned runs and gain a 2-1 victory over the Angels. Jorge Orta led off the fourth inning with a single and Joe Charboneau followed with a bunt fielded by Angel pitcher Bruce Kison, making his A.L. debut. Kison threw wildly to first base. Bobby Grich, backing up the play, also made a wild throw, allowing Orta to score and Charboneau to reach third base. Charboneau then scored what proved to be the winning run on a grounder by Ron Hassey. [The Sporting News]
