Rookie southpaw Charlie Leibrandt, making his first major league start, scattered five hits in pitching the Reds to a 5-0 victory over the Braves in a sweep of the four-game series. The Braves were shut out three times in the set. Singles by Dave Collins, Dave Concepcion and Dan Driessen, along with an error by Braves right fielder Gary Matthews, gave the Reds two runs in the third inning.
