A dramatic three-run homer by Richie Zisk with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Rangers to an 8-7 triumph over the Indians. The Texans trailed, 7-5, when Mickey Rivers singled to lead off the ninth. With one out, Al Oliver singled. One out later, Zisk drove the ball into the left field seats. [The Sporting News]
