Scoring a run in the bottom of the ninth, the Mariners shaded the Twins, 4-3. The winning tally developed when Larry Milbourne, pinch-running for Willie Horton, who had stroked a one-out single, went to third on a double by Bruce Bochte and continued home when right fielder Bombo Rivera misplayed the ball for an error. The Mariners had tied the score in the seventh when Bochte led off with a double and scored on a sacrifice fly by Ted Cox. [The Sporting News]
