. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A homer by Gary Carter with two men on base was the big blow when the Expos rallied for five runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Phillies, 7-5, in their home opener before 41,222. The Expos, who were trailing, 4-2, scored one run on a hit batsman, walk and single by Larry Parrish before Carter cracked his homer. Warren Cromartie followed with a single and pinch-runner Tony Bernazard scored the fifth run of the frame on a stolen base and a single by Chris Speier. [The Sporting News]
