The Twins snapped a five-game losing streak with an 8-3 victory over the Mariners. Roy Smalley batted in two runs with a homer for the Twins and Rob Wilfong added two more with a single and homer. Jerry Koosman, who pitched 8 1/3 innings, beat the Mariners for the fifth straight time since coming to the Twins from the Mets last season. [The Sporting News]
