A four-run outburst in the eighth inning lifted the Yankees to a 9-5 triumph over the Brewers and ended the Bronx Bombers' three-game losing streak. The score was 5-5 in the eighth when Willie Randolph singled and Ruppert Jones was hit by a pitch.

Bill Castro relieved Jerry Augustine on the mound for the Brewers and promptly made a throwing error on Bob Watson's sacrifice bunt, allowing Randolph and Jones to score. Reggie Jackson then followed with a two-run homer. [The Sporting News]
