A run-scoring single by Ivan DeJesus keyed a three-run seventh-inning that paced the Cubs to a 6-3 decision over the Mets and a sweep of the three-game series. With the score 3-3, Mike Tyson led off the Chicago seventh by reaching first base on an error by third baseman Elliott Maddox, went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Mick Kelleher and scored on a single by DeJesus off reliever Kevin Kobel, who had replaced starter Craig Swan. After a walk to Steve Ontiveros, Bill Buckner singled to score DeJesus and when the ball went through the legs of center fielder Joel Youngblood, Ontiveros also came home. [The Sporting News]
