A one-out double by Ken Landreaux in the ninth inning spoiled Bruce Kison's bid for a no-hitter as the Angels routed the Twins, 17-0. It was the second one-hitter of the righthander's career and his first American League victory. The Angels scored four runs in the first inning, the first three driven in on a double by Don Baylor, and the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Bobby Grich.
