. . . where the 1970s live forever!
The Dodgers shut out the Giants for the second straight night, winning, 4-0, behind the six-hit pitching of Dave Goltz, who picked up his first National League victory. The Dodgers scored in their first turn at bat when Derrel Thomas singled, stole second, moved to third on an infield out and came home on a sacrifice fly by Reggie Smith. They got another run in the third on a single by Rudy Law, a stolen base and single by Steve Garvey before adding pair of unearned runs in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
