Dusty Baker slammed a three-run homer in the 10th inning to lift the Dodgers to a 5-2 decision and drop the Giants into last place in the N.L. West. The score was 2-2 going into the bottom of the 10th when Reggie Smith cracked a one-out single, bringing on Randy Moffitt in relief of Gary Lavelle. Steve Garvey greeted the new pitcher with a single and Baker then lashed the ball into the left field seats. [The Sporting News]
